The EC 59 is the only plate heat exchanger in which it is possible to carry several media in a heat exchanger channel. The superheat section allows a very stable expansion valve control. In the case of propane, the postcooling section has particularly high subcooling values and the resulting increase in efficiency. The collector required in conventional systems can be omitted with compact chillers. This unique design makes it possible to build refrigeration circuits with the lowest refrigerant charge and the highest efficiency.

The refrigerant charge per circuit is limited to a maximum of 2.5 kg with the standard sizes. The devices are self-regulating by means of integrated control. The primary control variable here is the preset cold brine return temperature. This value is adjusted within a defined hysteresis. The device release, as well as the regulation of secondary circuits is achieved by a control system which efficiently manages the operation of the units.

The device release, as well as the regulation of secondary circuits must be done by a higher-level control. Each compact chiller is equipped with a safety extractor integrated in the basic module, consisting of an EC radial fan and a flow monitor. In order to ensure a simple revision of the devices, no electrical or electronic components are installed in the device cover. The devices are self-regulating by means of integrated control. Due to the low refrigerant charge, installation of the compact chiller in a machine room or a non-public area is easily possible. The individual chillers are either positioned floor-to-floor or factory-mounted on a common base frame. In cramped situations, the base frame and FXP modules can also be transported separately. The integrated transport pallet allows easy plug-in installation. The control of the hydraulic total composite is carried out according to the predetermined brine temperatures within a given hysteresis. The FXPModules either each have its own switching and control cabinet, which is attached directly to the device, or can be grouped together on a central control cabinet. Alternatively, the installation can take place in a separate container for outdoor installation or in the area of a canopy. The chillers are primarily used in the field of normal cooling, air conditioning and heat generation. A decoupling of the waste heat for heating purposes is simple and very cost-effective.

If required, the integration of deep-freeze applications is possible. For cooling, we use the environmentally friendly refrigerant CO 2 . Usually the integration takes place as a cascade, ie the recooling of the CO 2 aggregates takes place via the brine circuit of the normal cooling.
